School District:  The Upper Darby School District  is a key partner in our After-School Program (PEPP).  They refer students, collaborate  on funding opportunities, advise us about curriculum and performance  measurement, and provide significant funding through the 21st Century Community Learnng Center grant.


Colleges/Universities:  Susquehanna University sends education majors to work at our Summer Day Camp for an immersion experience teaching in a multi-cultural, urban setting. Students get course credit for participating. Temple and West Chester Universities provide nursing student volunteers to assist the Community Nurse


Foundations: Foundations have been the primary source of funding for the Summer Day Camp for the past 12 years. In addition, foundations contributed  this year  to PEPP and the Community Nurse Outreach.  Past and current funders  include:   1957 Charity Trust, Bray Foundation, Claneil Foundation, Connelly Foundation, Douty Foundation, Emergency Aid of Philadelphia Foundation, Elsie Lee Garthwaite Memorial Foundation, Hamilton Family Foundation, Holcomb Behavioral Health Systems, Patricia Kind Family Foundation, Lenfest Foundation,  Nelson Foundation, Philadelphia Foundation, Ethel Sergeant Clark Smith Foundation, Tabitha Foundation, Thrivent Financial.


Corporations: Main Line Health has provided partial funding for the Community Nurse Program since its inception in 1998. We subscribe to the Philadelphia Health Management Corporation (PHMC) health database, from which we obtain health status information about Upper Darby and Delaware County regional and local through theirCommunity Health Data Base.


Government Agencies:  We received a grant in 2005 from the Department of Community and Economic Development for our Summer Day CampThrough a grant from the Pennsylvania Department of Education and the Upper Darby School District, we received a 21st Century Community Learning Center grant for our after-school program.  This grant is for three (3) years starting with the 2004/05 school year.  The Pennsylvania Refugee Resettlement office provided a grant to cover the 2004 free Health Fair, and a series of Sex Education workshops held in June 2005.   On October 1, 2003 the Federal Office of Community Services, Administration for Children and Families, awarded Christ Lutheran Church a Compassion Capital Mini-grant in support of community outreach programs.


Businesses: Local businesses support outreach programs through advertising outreach events in their business locations, and through purchasing advertising for special events.


Individuals: Through the generous support of individuals and those mentioned above, our programs continue to operate. Individuals who care about our programs continue to provide gifts in the form of cash, stock, and item donations.
